Archipielago de Revillagigedo 2020.

The giant manta ray is a remarkably large and intelligent animal, reaching up to 5 meters from wingtip to wingtip. Belonging to the group of elasmobranchs, they are relatives of sharks, essentially classified as fish. What sets them apart from most fish is their ability to maintain a warm brain, a unique adaptation that scientists believe has contributed to their high intelligence. Typically, they approach divers, seemingly attempting to communicate by wrapping and unwrapping their fins around their head. It's truly remarkable to feel such a large marine animal attempting to convey a message.
